![]() Country Singer/Songwriter Marla grew up in a small country town well known for its horse fields and cow pastures. Her childhood dream was to become a singer/performer which she worked endlessly on since she was in her pre-teen years. She had some of the finest industry role models including her long-time singing coach and friend, Rose Coppola Trabandt. Rose has completed four albums of original material and has worked with incredible writers: Frank Vinci (wrote for Tim McGraw), Joe Vitali (toured with CSNY), Joe Walsh (Eagles), Glen Jordan (Sha Na Na), and Nick Nasko (guitarist). Rose has performed & opened for many national Artists: Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas, Steelheart, LA Guns, XYZ, Widow Maker and recently The Commitments featuring Andrew Strong. With having some of the lead acts in her school musicals with her junior year in Rent and her senior year as Fantine in les Miserable’ coupled with years of stage performances with her co-written songs or covers such as from Sugar land and Rascal Flatts, her efforts and music experiences have brought her to her next exciting level of her career. Marla worked alongside of many of the most well renown writers that have come out of the Nashville scene. Her first 3 songs that she co-wrote was with Frankie Vinci (wrote for Tim McGraw) Her respect and admiration for Frankie as a writer/artist and friend has given her a lifetime of memories. One of the songs co-written by Frankie and Marla received a honor by the State of Connecticut as one of 12 songs that will be debuted in a State wide non-profit Cd for Foster care awareness. The song is “Breakaway” which is also on Marla’s first cd with “Wild horses” co-written by Marla and Mark Oliverius from Nashville. The Cd by the State of Ct. and also Marla’s own 6 track CD will be available early spring 2010. . Marla
recorded her first record in Nashville, TN, with well-known producer
Mark Oliverius. Her EP includes six (6) co-written tracks. It will be
available this spring on iTunes! She was very fortunate to record with
some of the top musicians in Nashville, including Mark Oliverius on
keyboard (Lorrie Morgan, Ashton Sheppard, Trick Pony), J.T. Corenflos on
the electric guitar, Jimmy Carter on the bass guitar , Lonnie Wilson on
the drums, Chris Leuzinger on the acoustic guitar, Mike Johnson on the
steel guitar, Joe Spivey on the fiddle, and Thom Flora singing
background vocals. Her Production team included one of Nashville’s most
prominent and sought after Production Engineers is John Albani. Marla
will be attending Belmont University in Nashville in the fall of 2010
where she will be focusing on her major, Music Business and also her
writing with performing locally or wherever her world takes her. As a
